Blue Badge scheme

An organisation may be eligible for a badge (or multiple badges) if they:

• care for or assist people who need a Blue Badge
• transport people who need a Blue Badge

We will assess whether the organisation requires an organisational badge instead of using individual badges for the individuals it is transporting. An organisational badge should only be displayed when transporting someone who would qualify for a Blue Badge on their own.

Examples of eligible organisations include residential care homes, hospices, or local council social services departments. However, taxi or private hire operators and community transport operators would not be eligible for an organisational Blue Badge as they are not involved in the care of disabled individuals.

Organisational Blue Badges are specifically designed for organisations that provide care and transport for individuals who meet the criteria for a Blue Badge.

You will need to complete an application and provide the following:

• Charity number (if applicable)
• Organisation logo (can be uploaded via online form)
• Details of vehicle/s which will be used to transport individuals
