String Orchestras
Kingston Training String Orchestra
- level: suitable for pre-grade 1 up to grade 2 experienced players

The Kingston Training String Orchestra is a fun beginner's orchestra. It is made up of violins, violas, cellos, double basses, guitars, ukuleles. The orchestra rehearses for an hour every week and like to play classical music and TV themes.
Kingston Youth String Orchestra
- level: suitable for grade 2 up to grade 5 experienced players; students must be able to read music
- instruments: for string instruments
- time: Tuesdays 6:30 to 8:00pm
- location: Kingston Music Centre
The Kingston Youth String Orchestra (KYSO) is our advanced orchestra for players of grade 2 to 6 standard. The group rehearse weekly during term time and like to play a varied repertoire. As well as classical pieces, they also like to perform a lot of film music and have most recently enjoyed working on some of the fantastic repertoire highlighted by the BBC Ten Pieces Project.
Kingston String Sinfonia
- level: advanced from grade 6 up to grade 8+; students must be able to read music

- time: Saturdays 9:05 to 10:35am
- location: Coombe Music Centre
The Kingston String Sinfonia (KSS) is for advanced string players who are looking for a varied playing experience involving smaller chamber groups.
