Air quality complaints
Airborne dust
Dust can be considered a nuisance under the Environmental Protection Act (1995) if it can be shown to be harmful to the health of the average person or if it interferes with the use or enjoyment of your property.
The most common cause of dust complaints is construction and development. We are unable to take action on complaints regarding dust from works on the highway or dust from road sweeping.
Make a complaint
In the majority of cases, the most efficient way to stop a dust nuisance is by reporting it to the person responsible for causing it. They may not know that their activities are causing a disturbance.
However, if this method does not work, you may report the issue to the Council as follows.
