Asking for a repair

We are currently fixing an issue with our housing repairs phone system. For emergency or urgent repairs, please call 020 8547 5003 and select option 3 for 'housing advice and Adult Social Care', then option 2 for 'urgent housing repairs'.

You may experience longer call wait times – thank you for your patience.

For non-urgent repairs, please email housing@kingston.gov.uk

Out of hours access to emergency repairs is unaffected.


Emergency repairs

Call us to tell us about:

  • burst pipes or uncontrollable leaks
  • no power to the property
  • boarding up broken windows
  • insecure front door or window
  • loss of drinking water - you should also contact Thames Water to see if they are aware of the issue 

Non-urgent repairs

Any non urgent repairs can be reported online. Please email housing@kingston.gov.uk 

Do not report non-urgent issues by phone.

Time frames

We will attend to urgent repairs first. We will make an appointment for routine repairs.

Our time frame for completing repairs is:

  • emergency repairs: within 2 hours
  • urgent repairs: within 24 hours
  • routine repairs: within 10 working days
  • exceptional repairs: within 20 working days

We will try to complete your repair within the maximum time frame.
