Large crowds gathered along New Malden High Street to give King Charles III a warm reception, pavements packed with people waving flags and cheering.... New Malden’s Korean community is one of the largest in Europe, the area is sometimes described as London’s ‘Koreatown’.

    Kingston Council is working with local businesses, organisations and the voluntary sector, to ensure new new Government-funded employment scheme fully supports our borough’s young people.... The new Kickstart scheme is a £2 billion fund to create hundreds of thousands of new high quality 6-month paid jobs, aimed at those aged 16-24 who are in receipt of Universal Credit and are deemed to be at risk of long-term unemployment.... The response in Kingston has been fantastic so far, with 150 new jobs emerging in the borough.

    The new leisure building will have a swimming pool and teaching pool, but we are keen to hear about other facilities people would like to see here.... The plans will also include improving the public spaces around the building, to celebrate the neighbouring Kingston Library and Museum, and creating a new focal point in the town centre.... This is also a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the Hogsmill River, creating a new public space for people to experience and enjoy.

    Residents of New Malden are set to get a brand new public square and pocket park in the heart of their town as Kingston Council approves plans for the first phase of a significant regeneration scheme.... The Maldens and Coombe Planning Sub-Committee agreed proposals for the new community spaces,  connected by a pedestrian link, on part of the former adult resource centre site in New Malden, which is currently vacant.... This new, innovative space will provide local communities and businesses with the opportunity to connect and have a space to call theirs.

A new package of legislation to improve tenants rights & raise standards in the lettings sector across the borough has been approved by the Council’s Culture, Housing, Environment & Planning Committee... The new plan sets out the actions that the Council will take with partners and communities over the next five years to improve air quality across the borough and improve the health of residents.
