The Cambridge Road Estate regeneration will now provide a total of 871 new council homes once all 5 phases of the scheme are complete.

  • Grant awarded for a new boardwalk in the Six Acre Meadow

    One of the Borough’s oldest hay meadows is set to benefit from a new and improved walkway thanks to funding provided by Kingston Council as part of its Community Grants Programme.... As part of our green spaces, we are delighted that this CIL funding can provide a new boardwalk through the meadow and in such a fantastic wildlife location. ... The new boardwalk will also enable conservation volunteers to proactively manage the area and improve the site's ecological health.”

    A new walk-through COVID-19 test centre has opened in New Malden, increasing the testing capacity across the borough and making it easier for residents with symptoms to book a coronavirus test.... This new testing site at Cocks Crescent brings additional capacity, and I would urge anybody with symptoms to book a test straight away.... The main symptoms of coronavirus are a high temperature, a new continuous cough, and a loss or change in your sense of taste or smell.
