  • “Help us to change lives” - Council Leader calls on private landlords to help house those in need

    We are in the midst of a housing crisis - in Kingston there are over 900 households living in temporary accommodation and 3,700 on our housing register for social housing.... It is our job to make this a reality for all Kingston residents, and we are doing all that we can to ensure this - such as through building our first new council homes in a generation, and through developing a new innovative approach to rough sleeping....   • Kingston Libraries shortlisted for The MJ Achievement Awards 2021

    At the start of 2020, we began a digital programme, even before we needed to close our libraries because of COVID-19 restrictions.... We started with our first ever live streamed rhyme time (the first in the country!)... We are now testing the principles we developed from the first phase of engagement.
