  • Food voucher support for vulnerable children to continue for October half term

    School aged children who access free school meals during term time, as well as vulnerable two, three and four year olds will receive one £15 food voucher each per week, to be used in supermarkets and local shops.... The school holidays can be difficult times for families who are struggling financially when children and young people are at home for more meal times.... Families who are eligible for the scheme will be contacted by either their school or the Council’s children’s services provider Achieving for Children (AfC).

    The new team supports NHS Test and Trace in the borough, stepping in when the national service cannot contact a person who has tested positive for coronavirus.... Before the new service was launched at the start of November 2020, NHS Test and Trace was reaching about 80% of people who had tested positive for coronavirus in Kingston.... It will also help us to provide support to the people who need it the most whilst they and their household are self-isolating.
