Kingston strengthens its protection of shops
More extensive planning controls to protect shops from being converted into housing has been confirmed and will take effect from 1 August 2022.... The council is now able to confirm that the planning control, called an Article 4 Direction, will come into effect on 1 August 2022.

To maximise the number of offers we made on 1 March, and to minimise the numbers of unplaced children, we have worked with schools to offer additional places on National Offer Day in the expectation they will return to their published admission numbers by September.
