    Join us at Kingston Museum for the first in a series of events inspired by our latest exhibition: Creative Flow: Kingston, Art and the River.... In this talk, Dr Glenda Youde will tell the story of the Pre-Raphaelites and the Hogsmill River using Millais’s and Hunt’s own words, their works painted in the vicinity, and her own experience of walking in their footsteps in February 2020.

  • Lyndsay Russell

    Forced by the national lockdowns to seek inspiration at home, Russell turned to the water lapping about her boat and used it to produce other-worldly images and installations that reveal the  innate beauty of the water’s movements.... Printed on silk and animated by a fan, or shown on a large monitor accompanied by her own electronic music score, the resulting images are used to simulate the river flow.
