Boat moored unlawfully is removed from riverside
Using powers under the Greater London Council General Powers Act 1972, Kingston Council today removed Cygnet, an unoccupied narrow boat that had been moored unlawfully... The river plays an important role in defining the distinctive character of the Royal Borough of Kingston and boats that overstay on moorings or occupy areas where mooring is not permitted, affect enjoyment of river users and those who wish to use the riverside.
