  • The British Normandy Memorial: its creation and the stories of those commemorated

    The British Normandy Memorial, located in Ver-sur-Mer, France was unveiled on June 6th, 2021, the culmination of a campaign by Normandy veterans to create a memorial in France to over 22,000 of their fallen comrades of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.... Since 2017 Jane, a Kingston resident, has been the Lead Historical Researcher for the Normandy Memorial Trust, helping to discover the names of those killed on D-Day and the Battle of Normandy who were serving in British units.
