    In 1850 the Coombe Estate was inherited by George, the second Duke of Cambridge from his father.... Coombe Ridge House (now Holy Cross Convent School) By 1874 Galsworthy had finished his next mansion in George Road, immediately adjacent to "Coombe Harren'', known as "Coombe Leigh" and later "Coombe Ridge House".... This part of the estate also contains the famous Japanese Water Garden laid out in 1863 by James Veitch, the noted horticulturist, as part of his Coombe Wood Nursery to the north of Warren House.

    One of these children spent much of the following day drawing his own map scross several pieces of flipchart paper, adding 3D buildings using blocks and adding animals and people, trains etc in appropriate places - eg a train at the station and people waiting, animals in the zoo and sea animals in the sea (all of which he had drawn) This is the first time he has been engaged in an activity for such a long time.
