We have committed to renewing our fleet of bin lorries with electrical lorries, making us the first borough in London with a 100% EV bin fleet.... We also have expanded our network of electrical charging points and are continuing the expansion.

    The safety of all women and girls has always been a high priority for us and that’s why we are committed to safeguarding and preventing harm.... We work closely with the Police and other partners to ensure local support services are accessible to victim survivors and ensure work is being done at a local level to tackle sexual violence.... We will be launching a survey soon which we hope will highlight what more can be done or identify any gaps in our work to keep women and girls safe, as well as help us explore opportunities for community led projects and provide training to community champions to support this work going forward.”

    Thanks to the pandemic cancelling almost all of the planned events we were extended as the Mayor's chosen charity for a further year, and we were amazed at the inventiveness and tenacity shown by the Mayor and her team in raising funds for the two charities.... We are hugely thankful for the money we have received through being Mayor's Charity which will enable us to continue supporting vulnerable young people in Kingston through our youth work projects.... It has been a pleasure working with Cllr Margaret Thompson and the RBK Mayor's Office for the past two mayoral years and we are grateful for the publicity we have gained from this alongside the fundraising.
