    Why are we building new homes?... With nearly 4,000 on our waiting list for a council home, it is imperative that we build new sustainable, affordable housing to add to our existing council housing stock.... There are also 1000 families in temporary housing in our borough, and we have ambitious plans to end rough sleeping in Kingston by 2024.
