    The council has powers under the London Building Acts (Amendment) Act 1939-Part II, to renumber any building(s), but we normally only consider a request to renumber an existing building(s) when the address is likely to cause problems for the occupiers, emergency services, Royal Mail or other delivery companies.... In the event of a third party submitting a request to change the number of an existing building(s), we would seek approval from 80% of freeholders impacted.... In all cases we would hold a 30 day consultation with the people affected and the emergency services.

    We have 16 lifebuoys in  locations along the Thames.... We aim to place one of these ladders on either side of Kingston road bridge in the near future, in collaboration with the RNLI.... Working with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) we provide throwline training.

    White Ribbon Steering Group We have set up a steering group, to oversee the 3 year action plan taking us up to 2024 to ensure we have an effective organisation response to tackling male violence against women and girls.  ... On White Ribbon Day Thursday 25 November, and the 16 days to end violence against women that follow, we are asking people in their communities, organisations and workplaces, to come together, and say ‘no’ to violence against women.

  • Working with Kingston University students to boost community engagement in a pilot urban room

    It’s not often we have the opportunity to challenge ourselves with this type of experience while completing a degree.... By involving students from Kingston School of Art, we have been able to curate an interesting and intriguing space, drawing people in and encouraging them to engage with the draft Local Plan and other important projects.... We look forward to giving students more experiences to work on real-life projects and have opportunities to understand more about their needs and aspirations, not only as a student but as a future resident or worker long after their studies conclude.”
