    With nearly 4,000 on our waiting list for a council home, it is imperative that we build new sustainable, affordable housing to add to our existing council housing stock.... There are also 1000 families in temporary housing in our borough, and we have ambitious plans to end rough sleeping in Kingston by 2024.... This is set out in our Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy - and alongside early intervention and partnership working, suitable housing in the borough plays a key role in this.
