  • Council climate action and emissions summary 2022-23

As a council we remain committed to leading the way in reducing our direct emissions by our ambitious target for net zero by 2030.... Comparing like with like, we have already seen a 27% reduction in our emissions since our baseline year of 2017/18.... This is primarily due to a higher proportion of national grid energy being produced from renewable sources, but also includes changes to our building use, combined with our efforts to improve the energy efficiency of our buildings, lighting, fleet and travel.
