Core Strategy

Our Core Strategy and supporting documentation was inspected by Senior Planning Inspector, David Vickery, of the Planning Inspectorate. David Vickery undertook the Examination public hearings in September 2011 to decide whether the Core Strategy was sound.

The Examination public hearings were followed by a six week consultation period (ending 11 November 2011). Representations made during the consultation period were taken into account by David Vickery when writing his final report.

We received the Planning Inspectorate's final report on 8 December 2011, which found that Kingston's Core Strategy was sound.

The report included binding recommendations which were incorporated into the Core Strategy before it was formally adopted.
