National Apprenticeship Week 2021
This week we have been celebrating National Apprenticeship Week and highlighting all of our amazing apprentices and the benefits apprentices can offer.
This year's theme is Train, Retain and Achieve and at the Council there are a range of apprenticeships our employees are currently undertaking. The picture above shows some facts and figures about apprenticeships at RBK from 2019 – 2021.
We asked our Apprentices and Managers of Apprentices to share their feedback, experience and insights on apprenticeships:
Jen is currently completing the Chartered Town Planning (+ Masters) apprenticeship and said:
"I have enjoyed that I could learn on the job and have a first hand insight into how planning / regeneration is enacted."
James is one of our apprentice managers and said:
"It's been wonderful having such a fast-learning and dedicated apprentice on our team - it's very rewarding to see someone take on information and evolve in the role, who has also given a new dimension and dynamic to our team."
You can find more information about how to hire an apprentice and how to become an apprentice on the government website, visit our website for our latest vacancies and opportunities.
