Kingston’s Efficient Homes Show returns for a third year

Join the hundreds of people who have picked up energy saving tips at Kingston's Efficient Home Shows as the event returns for a third year - and this time it's set to be even better.
The event, created in partnership with the Kingston Green Business Community, Kingston Chamber of Commerce and the council, offers an excellent opportunity for people to discover ways to lower their energy bills while making their homes more comfortable and protecting the environment.
As before, the event is free to attend and visitors can consult with experts about the costs and benefits of using products like solar panels, insulation, heat pumps and a range of other technologies.
Attendees will also be able to meet local people to hear about their experiences of using these products in their own homes.
Councillor Ian Manders, Portfolio Holder for Climate Action and Sustainable Transport said:
“Well over a third of the climate-harming emissions generated in Kingston borough come from heating and powering people’s homes. High, unpredictable fossil fuel costs are residents' money, leaving the area, never to return. I would much rather keep this money in people’s pockets.
“This is why we run events like this - to help local people take action to reduce their bills, improve their homes and tackle climate change.“
The Efficient Homes Show is open to all, from homeowners to renters and landlords to business owners, students and children, there is something for everyone.
The show will also feature areas dedicated to cycling and gardening, activities for children and a drop off point of unwanted devices like phones which can be recycled or given a new home.
The event will take place between 10am and 3pm at Hollyfield School in Surbiton on Saturday 10 May 2025. Refreshments and food will be available to purchase on the day.
Tickets are free and can be booked via Eventbrite where you can also find the programme and the list of exhibitors.
