New Move Well, Live Well campaign to help residents stay active and connected
On International Day for Older People, Kingston Council is launching a new campaign to help people of all ages and abilities get involved in local clubs, classes and activities.
Move Well, Live Well is a new range of curated services from the council’s leisure partners and community organisations to help residents stay physically and mentally active by connecting with clubs and services across the borough.
Kingston is committed to supporting people to live independent, healthy and happy lives, working with communities to make it as easy as possible for people to access local opportunities to stay well.
Residents can go online to Connected Kingston to find the new Move Well, Live Well collection of classes and activities. It includes a wide range of options from indoor rowing and nordic walking to short tennis and indoor bowls. Throughout October there are also a number of free and taster classes available, that will help people get active and live well for longer.
Printed lists of classes are also available in libraries across the borough throughout October 2024.
Come to the Move Well, Live Well Leisure and Activities Fair
The council is also holding an ‘Age Friendly’ Leisure Fair on 24 October 2024 from 10am to 12.30pm at Kingston Guildhall, KT1 1EU. Residents can talk to clubs and groups to find out more about activities in their area. Details are available on our website.
Move Well, Live Well is part of Kingston’s Age Friendly initiative to improve healthy ageing and increase time spent in good health in Kingston.
