Cllr Tricia Bamford steps down after 22-years serving Chessington's residents and businesses
First elected to the Council in May 1998, Patricia Bamford is retiring after dedicating 22-years of service to the community in Chessington, Malden Rushett and the surrounding areas.
Patricia has continually campaigned on community issues and represented the interests and opinions of Chessington South residents and businesses as well as the wider Royal Borough of Kingston.
A big thank you goes out to Cllr Bamford for all of her hard work and dedication. We wish Tricia all the best for the future and she will be dearly missed by the council and our residents.

Tricia has long served the residents of Chessington South and we will greatly miss her knowledge and experience. I would like to thank Tricia for all she has done during her distinguished service in her ward and all the leadership positions she has held.
It has been an immense pleasure to work with Tricia, she has been a tireless campaigner on community issues. She was a key member of the team and we owe Tricia a huge thank you.
Councillor Bamford’s resignation takes place with immediate effect. Owing to the ongoing pandemic, Government regulations require the by-election to fill the vacancy to be held on 6 May 2021, alongside the elections for the Mayor of London and to the Greater London Assembly.
In the meantime the ward will be continued to be served by Councillors Andreas Kirsch and Christine Stuart.
