Local Businesses Offer Free Meals During Half Term

Over the last few days we have seen a huge swell of support from local businesses that want to offer their support to children and families that do not benefit from free meals during half term.

Just as they did - and have continued to do - since the first lockdown in March, many local businesses are showing generosity and compassion within their local communities to their neighbours, ensuring those most vulnerable are offered support.

Below is a list of some of the local businesses that are offering free meals to residents across the borough.

This is in addition to arrangements that have been put in place to ensure that the most vulnerable families are able to access food vouchers during this half term and over the Christmas holiday period. Parents whose children have a social worker or are receiving support from the borough’s children’s services department may be eligible for assistance.

Details on eligibility and how to access the scheme can be found on the Achieving for Children website.
