Kingston Mosque opens its doors to offer walk-in Covid vaccinations to local community
This Friday, 25 June, people from across the borough over the age of 18 will be able to get their vaccine at Kingston Mosque. No booking is required, and everybody is welcome.
The event, run in partnership between the NHS, Kingston Council and Kingston Mosque, comes during a 3-week surge testing period, and alongside the additional testing is part of efforts to combat a rise in cases of the Delta variant.
It is one of a number of walk-in vaccination events being held within the borough as the NHS and Kingston Council look to make vaccinations as easily accessible as possible for local communities. Last week (17 and 18 June), residents turned out in huge numbers at Kingston University to get the jab. Throughout this week, those who have had their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine can also get their second dose at a walk-in at the Hawks Roads Vaccination Centre.
At all of these sessions, a clinician will be available to speak to anybody under the age of 40 about the vaccination options open to them.
This Friday’s walk-in event will take place between 10.30am and 6pm at Kingston Mosque, 55 East Road, KT2 6EJ.
