Annual Council approves appointments of new portfolio holders
Kingston Council has approved the appointment of new portfolio holders for the key briefs of Adult Social Care and Public Health, and Environment and Sustainable Transport.
Councillors Sam Foulder-Hughes and Margaret Thompson will become joint portfolio holders for the newly combined areas of Adult Social Care and Public Health. They replace the previous portfolio holder for Adult Social Care Fiona Boult.
Housing, which was previously combined with Public Health, will remain with Councillor Emily Davey. In addition, Councillor Steph Archer will replace Hilary Gander as Portfolio Holder for Environment and Sustainable Transport.
Leader of Kingston Council Caroline Kerr welcomed the new appointments and paid tribute to the work of her fellow members:
“I want to sincerely thank Fiona Boult and Hilary Gander for their dedication and hard work for the people of Kingston across the portfolios they were responsible for. I am looking forward to working with councillors Foulder-Hughes, Thompson and Archer as they take on their new portfolios.”
