With an aim to create neighbourhoods that are safer, more prosperous and healthy, where people want to live, work or visit, the Managers work within the community to help local residents to improve their local streets and area. Through volunteering activities such as Snow Friends, Friends of Park(s), outdoor play, local events and festivals the Manager is able to give residents advice and put them in touch with the right people. Community noticeboards can also be accessed by residents to share information with the whole community.​

The Manager also supports residents to have their say through Neighbourhood Conversation engagement events, community meetings and encouraging participation at local Neighbourhood Committees. Guidance can also be given on applying for annual small grants and setting up resident groups and associations.
