Remembrance Sunday in Kingston Town Centre

Remembrance Sunday 2023 in Kingston Town Centre

For those of you who have lived or traded in Kingston for a number of years, you will know that Remembrance Sunday is an important date in our annual calendar, supporting the National day of Remembrance.

On Sunday, 12 November 2023 at 10:45am there will be a Civic Procession leaving from the Guildhall through the MarketPlace to the war memorial where a Service will take place.  A number of contingents from local organisations will also be taking part in this Service. This short outside service, which will include the laying of wreaths, will last until approx 11:10am.

A Service of Remembrance will then take place in All Saints Church, starting at approx 11:25am and finishing at approx 12:05pm. Open Service Sheets for Kingston here.

The Civic Procession will then return to the Guildhall at the end of the Church Service.

At approx 12:20pm all the Contingents from local organisations (Regimental Units, Cadets, Scouts, RBL, etc) will muster around the MarketPlace and then start the March Past in front of the Guildhall (finishing about 12:35pm).

Please note that during the above times, the procession route will need to be kept clear.
