Insurance
We arrange appropriate insurance cover for our assets and for potential legal liabilities as a local authority, including community and voluntary aided schools. This is achieved by a combination of external insurance cover and an internal insurance fund.
Our main external insurer is Protector Insurance. Protector Insurance is very experienced in dealing with local authorities and their insurance policies.
We also employ the service of an insurance broker for independent advice on insurance matters.

Leasehold buildings insurance
If you are a right-to-buy leaseholder and would like a copy of your policy documentation, you can view and download the Leasehold Schedule and Policy Wording.
If you wish to make a claim on your leasehold buildings insurance policy, contact Protector during office hours 9am-5pm Monday to Friday telephoned through to your dedicated claim line: 0161 823 1912, or via email on protectorclaims@uk.sedgwick.com. You will need to quote policy number 3132791.

For us to accept your application you cannot be in arrears. To make sure that you are always covered you must keep up to date with your payments. We can cancel the policy if your premium payments fall into arrears and you will not be able to make a claim unless your payments are up to date.
