Delivering Infrastructure Projects
Overview
The Council has made a commitment to introduce new systems/processes for contributions from new development. There is a system of governance for infrastructure planning and delivery, as well as a dedicated team (the Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Programme Office) committed to ensuring the appropriate planning and delivery of all infrastructure.
S106/CIL is dealt with in line with the Council’s own Capital Programme. The Capital and Infrastructure Board (C&IB) is in place to make decisions on all S106/CIL matters. NCIL expenditure will be determined by the relevant neighbourhood Committees but will be reported back to the C&IB periodically. Due diligence exercises will be undertaken by the Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Programme Office (with Neighbourhood Managers), to ensure that community organisations in receipt of NCIL monies are adequately enabled to deliver the necessary project outcomes.
