School governors
How to become a school governor
All schools need governors – people like you – who are interested in supporting a local school and committed to raising educational standards for children and young people.
Governors are the largest volunteer workforce in the country. Anyone over 18 who is keen to help children reach their full potential can become a school governor.
As a school governor the most important thing you need is commitment, enthusiasm and a contribution of your time to this rewarding role. We’ll provide you with the training you need.
If you are interested in becoming a school governor in a Kingston school please visit Inspiring Governance and/or Governors for Schools and complete an application.
