Next Steps Career Fair

Focused career and skills support for people living with disabilities, carers, migrants, refugees and armed forces veterans

You are warmly invited to the Guildhall for the Next Steps Career Fair for advice and guidance.

Who should attend? This free event aims to place a spotlight on showcasing the depth of local support available for people living with disabilities and learning differences, migrants, refugees, parents and carers and armed forces veterans and their families.

Kingston Council is committed to tackling exclusion, reducing inequality, and supporting those most in need. We enable people to recover from the economic crisis by empowering them with good skills, faciliating training, and increasing employment opportunities.

What are the aims? Come to connect with local organisations that can support you to:

  • access careers advice and in-work progression
  • obtain numeracy, budgeting and financial skills
  • apply for reasonable adjustments in the workplace
  • understand school SEND advice and guidance
  • receive wellbeing support

Light refreshments are provided.

Session 1: 10:30 - 11:30

Session 2: 11:30 - 12:30

Session 3: 12:30 - 13:00

All sessions are identical and have the same information available : information stalls will be in the Council Chamber and coaching and support in adjacent Queen Anne room. A quiet room with light refreshments is also available for all sessions.

If you are a Jobcentre Customer, please speak with your Work Coach to book a place.
