BikeRegister is the UK’s national cycle database Used to search for stolen bikes by every UK Police Force via secure online Police portal, available 24/7 Aimed at reducing thefts and helping the police return stolen bikes to owners, and in turn, securing convictions. When a bike is stopped or found, the labels can be scanned with a smartphone and identified on the BikeRegister website, this makes bikes with these labels a huge deterrent to thieves. Ownership can be securely transferred by the keeper when a bike is legitimacy sold. Over 1,200,000 bikes now registered There will also be experienced Independent Mechanics on site to look at your cycle and conduct a comprehensive check. This is a free service.

Check includes:

  • Rear wheel : Tightly fitted and the quick-release lever / nuts are secure in the closed position.
  • Spokes : Should be of equal tension and not loose.
  • Tyres : Correct pressure.
  • Saddle : Not loose and limit markers not exceeded on the seat post.
  • Chain : Clean and oiled.
  • Pedals : Spin smoothly and that your cranks are on tight, spin smoothly, and don’t creak.
  • Stem: Front wheel and stem do not move independently, and that your handlebar clamp bolts are tight.
  • Headset : Check for any rocking or clicking in the headset.
  • Brakes : Ensure that the front and rear brakes are working properly.
  • Frame : Look for any cracks or damage.
  • Front wheel: Tightly fitted and the quick-release lever is secure in the closed position.
