The Award in Education and Training Level 3 is an excellent qualification for those looking to teach adults.
- What will I learn?

Upon completion of the course, you will be qualified to teach adults in many Further Education, Adult Education, and Community Learning Provider settings.
This qualification is also valuable for those already working or volunteering in education settings, but do not yet hold a teaching qualification.
The course provides a solid introduction to the practice and theory of teaching, and you will have many opportunities to practise teaching within a classroom setting throughout the course.
You will learn to:
- Understand the role of the teacher and the learner
- Plan and deliver lessons
- Understand the purpose and use of assessment
- And moreYou will be taught in a supportive environment by our professional teachers who will be able to share a wealth of teaching experience. You will also have access to the latest teaching equipment, such as modern digital whiteboards.
- What are the entry requirements?

You must be aged 19 or over (as at 31st August 2024) and be a UK resident.
You will need a sufficient level of English to be able to follow the curriculum and complete any course work.
Please also be sure you have enough time each week to attend all classes and to complete any homework assignments outside of class.
If you live within Greater London, you will need to have the right to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the start date of the course.
If you live outside of the Greater London area, you will need to have lived in the UK for the past three years and also have the right to live in the UK for the duration of your course. - What do I need to bring with me to class?

Please bring a pen, pad and a folder to store any handouts.
This course has some elements delivered online, so you will need access to a computer or laptop and an internet connection. (Please note that a smartphone or tablet will not be suitable)
If you do not have the necessary IT equipment, you can still apply for the course as there may be opportunity for equipment loan depending on your personal circumstances. - What can I do after my course has finished?

You can begin teaching in many Further Education, Adult Education, and community Learning Provider settings.
You can also continue to develop your knowledge with our other qualifications in education such as Principles of Special Educational Needs Level 3 Certificate or Assessing Vocational Achievement.
