This is a class that will enable you to gain or build on your digital skills. It is taught in a supportive environment and is particulary suitable for those who may have or are recovering from mental health issues or are feeling that their wellbeing is low.
- What will I learn?

You will work on an individual learning programme designed to meet your learning needs and experience of using IT. You are able to increase your digital skills in a number of areas including using the Internet safely, producing documents, letters and using word processing software. You will be able to learn spreadsheet software and use the computer to work out calculations or for budgeting purposes. There is an opportunity to also learn about producing slide shows. You will learn about working with graphics and producing posters. Learners will be able to set up an email account and will understand how to send emails, including those with attachments. For those with more experience there is an opportunity to work towards accreditation and gain an Award in IT User Skills at level 1.

- What can I do after my course has finished?

You can continue onto the next term to build your skills or progress onto an Essential Digital Course or onto a Level 2 IT User Skills. There is also the option of progressing to an employability course, for example, Back to Employment,
