Introduction to the course

This course is suitable for adults who struggle with reading and/or writing and wish to gain new confidence. We help our learners in a caring and supportive environment.

The literacy skills you will learn will help you in both work and daily life.

Not everyone had the best time at school, and for many of us, the idea of returning to learning as an adult can be worrying. Our tutors understand this and offer support and guidance throughout.

Please note that this course is not intended for ESOL (speakers of other languages) learners.

What will I learn?

You will receive support with your individual literacy needs. This may be help with spelling, reading, writing, etc.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no specific entry requirements, but you must be resident in the UK and wish to improve your English language skills. You must also be willing to attend regularly and complete homework assignments outside of class.

Please note that this course is not intended for ESOL (speakers of other languages) learners.

What do I need to bring with me to class?

Please bring a pen, paper and a folder

What can I do after my course has finished?

We offer English courses from Entry level through to Level 2
