Cycle Parking & Security
Cycle security
If you’ve ever had your cycle stolen, you’ll know how inconvenient it can be. Here are 10 practical tips to help keep your bike safe including the best way to lock it and advice from the Metropolitan Police on how to get it back if it has been stolen
Our local police teams hold regular cycle marking events, and join our "Dr Bike" bicycle checking sessions.
Secure Hangars
We have a number of on-street residential cycle hangars across the borough. You can find cycle hangar locations, enquire about vacancies and apply for an on street cycle hangar space.
Kingston Council is tackling the ongoing public health and climate change crises by encouraging cycling and walking, especially for short trips. The on-street residential cycle hangars are part of our commitment to re-purpose the carriageways in our Borough for all residents. Cycle hangar vacancies across the borough are allocated on a first come/first served basis at an annual cost of £75.
