Check when your windows are cleaned

New Concept are the council’s new window cleaning contractor for all council housing estates and blocks.

They wil do all external::

  • windows and externally facing door glass
  • surfaces of glass canopies
  • glass canopies
  • and internal communal windows

What you can expect

Under the window cleaning contract, the windows in public areas should be cleaned three times a year.

Windows in public areas (external and excluding Cambridge Road Estate):

  •  all glazing and framework should be free of dust, dirt, marks, smears, bird droppings
  •  no streaks, cloth marks or excess water residue left on metal /wood framing members
  •  no build up or accumulation of dust etc. in corners
  •  all windows are to be clean and gleaming.

How we will monitor their performance

New Concept will complete 100% of the cleaning schedule every 16 weeks, 3 times per year. They wil notify the council within 24 hours of completion of each 16 week clean by email.

Provide a monthly update report, this will include a summary of the blocks confirmed window cleaning carries out. Any window cleaning issues should be emailed to: estate.services@Kingston.gov.uk.

How can you get involved

We have resident groups tenants & leaseholders (18+) can join and bring your ideas and creative solutions on how Kingston Council’s Housing Services can be better. Have a voice and come make a difference to where you live and the services you receive from Kingston’s council housing team.
