Repair Week is an annual celebration of repair throughout London where everyone is invited to gain repair skills, save some money and help protect the planet while at it!

Ending soon: Imperial College London repair survey

Have any of your electronics or electricals broken down recently? This could be mobile phones, cameras, earphones and buds, computer accessories, vacuum cleaners or even toasters.

If so, Imperial College London would like to invite you to take part in a short survey about your experiences. To take part you need to be 18+ and as a thank you, they will enter you in a raffle to win one of four £25 IKEA vouchers.

Throughout the week: Clothing repair workshops

Join Sarah from The Stitches Academy for a variety of fun and interactive workshops to help you mend and update the clothes you love. Dates are listed below and spaces can be booked saved on Eventbrite.

14 March, 11am to 3pm: Dr Bike

Like most things a bicycle will work better and last longer if you care for it properly. Get yours checked for free by the Dr Bike team. They are able to fix a range of issues including; adjusting brake levers, indexing gears and lubricating key mechanical parts. In just 10 minutes you can have a safer, more efficient cycle. And if a big repair is needed they can give you impartial advice about that too!

In support of Repair Week, they'll be outside Guildhall 2 on Thursday 14 March, 11am - 3pm.

Throughout the year: Repair Café Kingston 

Hosted at Kingston Library, the Repair Café opens on the first Saturday of every month. In February, Repair Café Kingston celebrated its first anniversary and 100s of repairs!

Take a look at the Zero Waste Map to find out where you can get items repaired locally, as well as refill stations to help you cut back on unnecessary packaging. 

Throughout the year: Kingston upon Thames Repair Network

For people interested in repairing broken items in Kingston, as well as any community repair groups interested in promoting their repair events.

They are particularly interested in identifying local people who have the skills to repair and are willing to volunteer their time for the benefit of the community at repair workshops.
